But the IRS will happily notify you about mistakes on your tax form. Even if it’s in your favor. I just suspect that they won’t use email. They like those pretty letters, with envelopes that have a large “Internal Revenue Service” in the return address corner.
I wonder how many heart attacks that causes?

And they send you nice letters. Really, it does one’s heart good when you see an elvelope from the IRS in the mail box. Heartrate jumps about 300% of normal…and then the envelope sits on the table for a long time, because sometimes unknown evils are better than the known kind.
And then when you finally do open it, you find out there’s a miscalculation and they’re going to send you another $1 refund.
Yep, those letters from the IRS are just great for one’s health.
